Today we went to the Alamo. It was very interesting because on the first Saturday of the month there are special activities. Today there were rein-actors in costumes of both the Mexican and Texan forces giving demonstrations of authentic weapons. 
The young men pictured here are in the uniform of Santa Anna's Army and are carrying muskets of the 1830's era which England sold to Mexico and other Latin American countries.At the gift shop Trish bought a necklace for herself and a mug for me. The mug has an image of the Alamo on one side and on the other the following quote:
"You may all go to hell and I will go to Texas"---Davy Crockett
